AUTHORIZED CYBERSECURITY ASSESSMENT

Red Teaming & Adversary Simulation

Understand exposure.
Prioritize practical improvements.

Explore how agreed security controls, detection processes and response practices behave during a controlled, goal-led exercise. Scenarios, systems, techniques, communication channels and stopping conditions are defined in written rules of engagement.

WHAT WE ASSESS

A Defined View of Your Security Environment.

The following areas can be discussed during scoping. Their inclusion depends on authorization, access, technical requirements and confirmed delivery capability.

Exercise objectives

Define realistic, agreed objectives and boundaries for the simulation.

Permitted scenarios

Select scenarios that fit the organization’s goals and authorized scope.

Control evaluation

Observe relevant preventive and detective controls during approved activity.

Detection and response

Review available observations of detection, escalation and response behavior.

Operational safeguards

Agree escalation contacts, stop conditions and prohibited actions.

Exercise review

Summarize observations and improvement opportunities after the exercise.

WHY THE ASSESSMENT MATTERS

Turn Security Observations into Informed Decisions.

Understand relevant exposure

Review security observations in the context of agreed detection and response scenarios.

Set practical priorities

Use documented findings and their context to plan appropriate remediation work.

Support the next decision

Discuss relevant control improvements, ownership and follow-up actions with clear reporting.

SCOPE AND ENGAGEMENT APPROACH

Authorization First. Assessment Within Agreed Boundaries.

Define asset ownership, written authorization, objectives, access, exclusions, permitted techniques and escalation contacts before any testing.

  1. 01

    Understand & Define Scope

Agree on business objectives, asset ownership, written authorization, boundaries and exclusions.

  2. 02

    Plan the Assessment

Confirm access arrangements, permitted techniques, testing windows, escalation contacts and safeguards.

  3. 03

    Perform Authorized Security Evaluation

Carry out agreed activities within scope, following the testing plan and safe working arrangements.

  4. 04

    Analyze & Prioritize Findings

Review observations, validate relevant findings and explain their risk in the agreed context.

  5. 05

    Report & Recommend

Provide the agreed reporting and remediation guidance in clear business and technical language.

  6. 06

    Review Improvements, where agreed

Discuss findings and review remediation or retest selected items when included in the engagement.

Testing can affect system behavior. Suitable environments, maintenance windows, rate limits and stopping conditions are agreed during planning. Zero operational risk or absolute security cannot be promised.

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES

Clear Findings. Practical Remediation Direction.

Actual deliverables vary by scope. The proposal defines the report format, evidence, assessment depth and any retesting or follow-up activities.

Assessment scope and testing boundaries

A record of agreed assets, objectives, exclusions and permitted activities.

Executive summary

A business-facing summary of relevant observations and priorities.

Technical findings and supporting evidence

Findings with relevant context and evidence gathered during authorized work.

Risk classification and prioritization

An explanation of severity and priorities using the agreed assessment approach.

Remediation recommendations

Practical recommendations related to the documented findings and scope.

Follow-up validation, where included

Retesting or follow-up validation only when included in the agreed engagement.

SERVICE FAQs

Questions Before You Begin.

How does red teaming differ from a penetration test?

A penetration test typically focuses on weaknesses in a defined technical scope. A red-team exercise is usually objective-led and can evaluate how selected controls and response processes work together. The agreed proposal defines the actual approach.

Can an exercise run without telling anyone internally?

Any limits on internal awareness must be explicitly approved by accountable stakeholders. Authorization, escalation contacts, safety boundaries and stopping conditions remain necessary.

What will the report cover?

The report covers the agreed assets and assessment activities. It may include an executive summary, findings, supporting evidence, risk prioritization and remediation recommendations. Coverage, format and review arrangements are set out in the proposal.

Is retesting included?

Retesting or follow-up validation is included only where explicitly agreed. The proposal identifies the scope, timing and conditions for any follow-up work.
